Fun Fun Fun Fest: Ride the Plank
Fun Fun Fun Fest: Ride the Plank Fun Fun Fun Fest is an annual music festival in Austin, TX. For the past four years, there's been a skateboard presence at the festival, in the form of a halfpipe with grown men performing stunts on it. Apparently last year there were tons of spectators interested in watching the grown men play skateboards, which led to the festival organizers making a more substantial investment in the action sports aspect of this year's event. Ride The Plank is what the skate/BMX section was titled this year, and it was designed to look like a pirate's playground. Tons of local rippers showed up to shred and a few out-of-towners dropped by to catch some Austin air-time. This event wouldn't have been possible without the help of Project Loop, Speerco Ramps, Ryan Corrigan, or the countless volunteers and supporters who pitched in and made the radical possible. As successful as the event was, I'm sure next year will be even better. So go ahead and make your hotel reservations now, and come to Austin next November for some fun fun fun. PS: I intentionally didn't make a Jon Comer pirate joke. <td style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.4em; padding-left: 20px;
