Do you spend a lot of time searching for worksheets with practice problems to give your students? Now you can easily create your own in just a few seconds with the Math Worksheet Generator. This is a tool that generates multiple math problems based on a sample, and then creates a worksheet that you can distribute. By analyzing the math problem you provide, or one of the built-in samples, the generator determines the structure of the expression and provides similar problems. They tack on an answer sheet too.

Mission:
To bring together skateboard filmmakers of all ages and caliber from around the world and challenge them artistically through creative achievement in film.

Festival brief:
The Skateboard Film Festival is happening this August 14th-16th weekend at SIFF Cinema at Seattle Center. So far we have received high-quality skateboard film submissions from across the United States and abroad. Our goal is to screen between 40-60 films over the course of the weekend.

Three submissions standout in particular:

  • SOUR: “the first urban skate documentary to be filmed in the middle east; offering a fresh, fast-paced and inspiring perspective of peace building and Middle Eastern urban youth culture.”
  • Smile: documents director Nathan Gray’s journey to a small school in Bangalore, India where he taught impoverished youth how to skateboard.
  • A Day at the Park: Local director, Scott Yamamura, took three years to film over 30 skate parks around Seattle. He is planning to premier his film at the festival.

What to do next:
This first year is just the beginning of the grand plans we have for the festival’s future. Please read more about the festival at www.theskateboardfilmfestival.com; take a moment to watch a few of the trailers, which will give you an idea of what we will be featuring in August. Then follow our progress at www.twitter.com/skatefilmfestkirk@theskateboardfilmfestival.com

We do need help spreading the word about the festival because it is new. Please forward the festival’s website to others you think may be interested in getting involved. There’s also still time to submit a film for consideration. June 16th is the final cut-off for submissions.

Over the years I have found myself spending countless hours searching the internet for skateboard related content like videos, photos and news. To help my never ending craving fo skateboarding, i thought it would be cool to create a website that aggregates skateboard content into a list, and then I can go check the list a few times a week to satisfy my craving. On top of that I have added some smarts to classify links as videos as well. The project is called “Skate Feed”. I know it’s not that original, but hey, it is what it is. The website automatically gets updated a few times a day with content from over 80 skateboard websites all across the web. Some of the sites used are: Transworld Skateboarding, Color Magazine, DC Shoes, Element, C1rca, Altamont, Alient Workshop, Concrete Skateboarding, Emerica, éS Footwear, Fallen, Flip, Foundation, Kayo Corp, Kitsch, KREW, Lakai, Zero, Mystery, Slave, Push.ca, Momentum, RVCA, Pig Wheels, Powel, Supra, The Skateboard Mag, Thrasher, Tiltmode Army, Ultimate Distribution, Vans, Western Edition, and Zoo York. I am always looking for more sites to add to the list, so if you have any ideas, make a comment on this post with the URL and I’ll see if I can get it added.

Become a fan of the Skate Feed on Facebook at our page.

There are also 3 RSS Feeds that you can subscribe to in your favorite RSS Reader. They are:

  1. Main Skate Feed RSS Feed
  2. Videos Skate Feed RSS Feed
  3. Most Popular Skate Feed Items RSS Feed
