Jenkem Mix Live with Kyota Umeki & The Star TeamAfter 100+ mixes, we decided to shake things up a bit and start recording them IRL and add a video component. First up, we have Kyota Umeki and The Star Team. When we floated the idea to him, he suggested doing the mix on his apartment balcony in the East Village, the neighborhood he grew up in, and HQ for The Star Team. We lugged our cameras, cables, mixer, and laptop out there and hung out while he banged out his set, with a classic NYC skyline and sunset as the backdrop.
