ELEMENT X BLACK SHEEPELEMENT X BLACK SHEEP SKATESHOP join forces to support 'MIND' - a mental health charity Having helped to lay the groundwork for one of the grittiest and real skate scenes on the east side of the Atlantic, Black Sheep skateshop in Manchester, England is a flag bearer of skating in the northwest of the UK. Element worked closely with Black Sheep and UK-based artist Tom J. Newell to create a one-of-a-kind deck that commemorates not only Black Sheep and it’s history, but most importantly their good mates Chris Barret and David Beveridge. Sadly, Chris and Dave left us too soon and the deck is an homage to their legacies and their love of Skateboarding. To honour their mates, the crew at Black Sheep wanted to use the profile of this collab to shine a light on the importance of mental health within the skateboarding community, so all proceeds from the sale of these 50 limited decks will be donated to Stockport Mind, a charity that works in greater Manchester to aid the local community with support in overcoming struggles in mental health. On May 6th 2022 the Manchester skate scene came together at Black Sheep to skate and celebrate the release of this limited board. It was great getting the community together for Chris and Dave in a fantastic event that exemplifies the solidarity of the NW skate scene.
