The Trick That Changed Skateboarding’s Future | Frankie Hill Propaganda GapSigned boards by Frankie & Jeremy available at storiedskateboarding .com In our first ever edition of, "Short Storied", “The Trick That Changed Skateboarding’s Future | Frankie Hill Propaganda Gap“ we go back in time with Pro skateboarding legend and Powell Peralta alumni, Frankie Hill to the iconic “Propaganda Hill Gap”. Santa Barbara California’s Frankie Hill is known amongst his peers and predecessors as the true pioneer who broke down the barriers to gigantic gaps and handrails. Many credit Frankie as the first to “go big” and not only did he go big, he did most of his game-changing skate stunts all in one day! Frankie made his biggest mark in the coveted film, “Powell Propaganda” which became the launching point for many of skating’s biggest stars at the time, stars like Tony Hawk, Lance Mountain, Mike McGill, Steve Caballero, Ray Barbee, Bucky Lasek and more. As a young gun fresh on the scene, his part blew minds and changed the way skaters began viewing the terrain around them, he opened up the floodgates of possibility. His Propaganda Hill gap specifically, was a pivotal and groundbreaking maneuver that was celebrated worldwide and inspired a new generation of “gnarly” skateboarding. Some claim it to be the most famous skateboarding stunt ever done. Notable game changers in their own right, Pat Duffy, Kris Markovich & Jeremy Wray, chime in on the impact that Frankie had at the time, regarding him as the one who opened everybody’s eyes to the new possibilities. Also in this video, we measure the legendary gap - which we of course had to dig out 35 years later lol - but you will have to watch to see how massive this thing is! There was never a photo taken of the legendary move, so our good friend Jeremy Wray blessed all of us with his amazing scratch art work for the Frankie Hill Propaganda Hill Gap board graphic an
