Get Out Of The VanGet Out Of The Van On The Road With Black Flag (2019-2025) I’d drive for six, eight, or even nine hours every day. When I finally parked at the venue, I’d get out of the van and start walking—always seeking stimulation. Shimmering sunlight, fragrant air, cultivated parks and gardens, babbling streams, running rivers, spanning bridges, and towering buildings. From town to town, the sidewalk unfurled before me into local coffee shops, book and stationery stores, restaurants, and cafes. But mostly, I kept moving—never lost, even when I tried. And should I find myself with more than a few hours or a day off, I’d take to the trail—to greater adventure. Through the city, along the shore, amongst the trees, up into the hills. Legs, lungs, open sky, and beating heart. Except for a short period of time when I attempted to vlog some of these rambles, I rarely took my phone out or documented any of my excursions. This video is the exception, not the rule. Mostly, I was communing with the moon, stars, birds, and rocks and making the most of my time away from home. Thanks for watching!
