It’s never easy running a small independent retail business, or any business, but especially skate shops. Independent skate stores are the real unsung heroes within the skate industry and hopefully this series of edits will help us get to know our stores, your local store and inspire everyone to support proper skate shops. Without these stores there is no skate industry. This first episode is featured on Rossy D, who after working at the store for 8 years bought and took over the business 7 years ago. After rediscovering his passion for skateboarding he was able to reposition the store from a boardsport lifestyle store to a core skate shop, which is now a strongly supported business within the local skate community and a staple part of its community.
