RON ALLEN and JEFF KENDALL - THE TR RAW FOOTY from filming of Risk It Santa Cruz Speed Wheels 1990THE RAW FOOTY is a series of classic sessions from video parts you grew up on, but alll THE RAW FOOTY as it was shot! Thanks for subscribing and we LOVE your comments! "I filmed this session in San Jose, CA in 1990 for Jeff Kendall and Ron Allen's Risk It parts for Santa Cruz Speed Wheels second video and follow up to Speed Freaks. I had a long list of riders to film for these videos and would put together some epic combination of skaters for interesting sessions and to push each other, and this day was no exception as Ron Drove down from Oakland, I jammed over from Santa Cruz to San Jose, where Kendall was living at the time. Parts were filmed in a few days, so it was all about taking advantage of the opportunity when it was presented. My goal besides capturing the action was trying to innovate new camera angles and filming techniques NBDs. Skateboarding was still about being good overall on a wide variety of terrain yet street skating was just coming into its own with skaters like Natas, Matt Hensley, Mike Vallely, Mark Gonzales, Tommy Guerrero, and Frankie Hill changing the game month by month. Thrasher and Transworld magazine started shifting their content from vert, pools and ramps to ledges, curbs, gaps hubbas, manuals, handrails, and more natural street settings in cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Miami, Las Vegas, Arizona, and all over the United States, Australia, Europe and the world." -Tony Roberts @tonyrobertsphoto Jeff's Risk It Part here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HbbVpMzRsw&t=8s Ron's Risk It part here: https://youtu.be/Kw1m2OkEdtg ©1990 TR Productions/ NHS Inc.
