We are excited to announce a new partnership between RVCA and ALEKESAM. Based in Venice, ALEKESAM is the musical collaboration of Sal Masekela and Sunny Levine. However, Sal and Sunny’s musical history goes well beyond their current configuration. Their fathers (Hugh Masekela and Stewart Levine) were long time musical partners and raised Sal and Sunny as brothers. Defying genre, ALEKESAM has created their own sound which they call SURF R&B. Their 2015 song ALL IS FORGIVEN went viral after it was featured in season four of Showtime series House Of Lies. In addition to his musical endeavors, Sal is well known as a TV presenter and for his contributions in the Action Sports and Surf worlds. Sunny is also a recording artist under his own name and recently produced the new Shabazz Places album: Quazarz vs The Jealous Machines. ALEKESAM will be releasing their new single OH SHANTE feat. TOO $HORT on Friday October 27th. And to commemorate their new partnership with RVCA, they will be live streaming a performance with TOO $HORT on Thursday October 26th at 8pm Pacific Time/11pm East Coast time.
