Indy Labs #11 - How To Make A PVC Ollie Bar
Indy Labs - We Put The Science In Your Hands Science and Skateboarding have a very common thread - both require the ones involved to see their world with imagination, and consider new possibilities. In one such case, we can redefine PVC piping to become a considerable skateboarding tool. The Ollie Bar is a recent piece of (overpriced) skateboarding equipment, but you don't need to shell out the $50 - $200 that these tend to cost. In this Indy Lab, we'll show you how to make one using PVC for around $5! The Indy Labs series focuses on at home science experiments that are low cost and (usually) easy to do, but still drive the science concepts home. Some science videos show you how to do something cool, but explain very little of it. Others explain concepts, but are very passive and give the viewer little to actually do. With Indy Labs, we put the science in your hands, teaching you concepts, but at the same time, giving you an experiment to try on your own! If you try the lab, please leave a comment and let us know how it went. Also, snap some photos of YOUR at home trials for this or any of the Indy Labs experiments, and upload them to Twitter and/or Instagram. Use #IndyLabs so we can all see your results! Good luck, Indy Scientists! Subscribe and join our community today! Special thanks to WILSON for allowing us to use their song in the video, "Passing On The Left"!
