Greyson Fletcher: Element x Zumiez
Check out Element rider Greyson Fletcher in the latest Zumiez interview video! ZUMIEZ: What is it like to be pro for Element? GREYSON FLETCHER: I have been stoked. It is every little kid’s dream to turn pro, and I love all the guys on the team, they are the best people, and I am glad I get to travel with all of them. I am stoked. ZUMIEZ: How does it feel to be the Ollie North Master? GREYSON FLETCHER: I wouldn’t consider myself the Ollie North Master, but I like to do them a lot. Everyone has been doing ollie norths for so long now, like way before me so I just like to do them a lot. Its fun. ZUMIEZ: Is it true you lived in Bali when you were younger? GREYSON FLETCHER: Yeah I lived in Bali for 7 months when I was younger with my Dad, and I was going to get rid of my United States citizenship and get Indonesian, and hang out there and skate and stuff, but I ended up coming back and I haven’t been back since, so we will see. I like it there a lot, it is really pretty, a lot of waves, good food, cool people, and Bali is the best. ZUMIEZ: Have you ever been mistaken for a pro surfer? GREYSON FLETCHER: I definitely have not, and especially when I am surfing because those guys rip, and I don’t. Yeah I surf, I surf everyday now. I live in San Clemente, so its hard not to surf. The weather is nice there all the time, and there are usually waves. ZUMIEZ: Is it true your grandpa skated? Did he help you get started? GREYSON FLETCHER: Yeah my grandpa used to skateboard. He has a picture of him skating a pool in 63 (1963), and barefoot. He skateboards a little bit now, but not much. He will roll around a little bit at the skate park, and that’s really cool. My Dad gave me my first board, and then I think my Dad and my Grandpa both helped me out with starting skating. My Dad, my Grandpa, and my Uncle would always take me to the skate park and push me around when I was a little kid, like on my knees o
