But, give it a few days and most people are able to acclimatize to the elevation of 14,000 feet with very few embarrassing episodes. Official knew about the possibility of altitude sickness before setting foot in Bolivia last year, but taking it easy was out of the question. Stefan Janoski and the Official squad—including Sebo Walker, owner Jason Maggio, and team manager Jeff Landi—had a strict schedule of only four days to skate and research new beanie constructions, with very little wiggle room for minor concerns like their health.
