Sean Malto: Girl x Zumiez
Check out Girl rider Sean Malto in the latest Zumiez interview video! ZUMIEZ: What has been your most memorable Girl tour? SEAN MALTO: Man, all of the Girl tours are fun, but I feel like the most memorable one for me, was probably the first U.S. one, “Badass meets Dumbass.” So it was super long, I went on the whole thing, and I brought a big box of product, and clothes, and was just like “this is my home for the next five weeks,” and that was the first time I have ever done that before, so that one is definitely stuck in my mind. ZUMIEZ: Are you down with the Trunk Boyz? SEAN MALTO: I love the Trunk Boyz. I dont see them as often as I’d like. It was funny for a little bit on those “Pretty Sweet” trips filming for the video; it would be like Trunk Boyz, me, and Mike Mo. We never really got jumped into the gang, but we “bro’d,” we hung out. We went to a cabin in Montana, and lit stuff on fire, and shot guns. I love those guys, but I just wish I saw them a lot more. ZUMIEZ: Any big skate trips planned? SEAN MALTO: At the moment I am just trying to get my ankle back to 100% but the one I have been looking forward to the most is the Fourstar Copenhagen/Germany trip. That is going to be a fun one, Copenhagen Pro, and going to Berlin, and doing a little Germany blast, it’s going to be sick. ZUMIEZ: How often do you go back to Kansas City? What’s your favorite KC spot? SEAN MALTO: I always try to make it there once every couple months, but this year I have just been getting jammed up with ankle surgeries, and doing physical therapy out in L.A. and things have kept me out on the west coast a lot more. My favorite spot to skate? Its so mellow there, and you can skate anywhere, its so awesome. There is this new D.I.Y. spot that a bunch of skaters built, and concreted up barriers and made ledges and manual pads. That has kind of been the new “go to” spot. ZUMIEZ: You get a lot of crazy Insta comments,
