AARON HOMOKI: The usual warm up for jumping down stuff, is to jump off of it first. You jump straight off of it, and if it doesn’t hurt the back then it’s good, because the feet usually always hurt. When it hurts the back it’s too much. ZUMIEZ: What’s up with the green tooth? AARON HOMOKI: I cracked my tooth, and I don’t even know how. It’s a cap on it, but when I was getting it, they told me, “yeah you have to get a cap,” and I was like “can I get any color that I want?” and they were like “oh, yeah I guess you can.” So I paid like an extra 80 bucks or something, and they gave me a green one. The next one I am going to get is light blue. ZUMIEZ: What skaters influence you? AARON HOMOKI: I really like people that can skate the way that I can’t skate. Like they have really high pop, because I don’t have high pop at all. Randomly I like Luis Tolentino a lot. He is really frickin sick. Gilbert Crockett, Austyn Gillette, but my biggest influence is probably Travis Pastrana. He doesn’t skate but he is just a maniac, and I like that. ZUMIEZ: What is Tony Hawk like? AARON HOMOKI: Tony is the frickin man, he’s like the most legendary skate rat, and that’s the way I like to explain him. All he cares about is skating. He’s a skate rat that fucking made it to legend status. ZUMIEZ: What about Snoop Dogg? AARON HOMOKI: He is exactly how you would think he is like. He’s just so mellow and so chill, and he is always cracking jokes, and he is always smoking blunts; that’s real.
