Wes Kremer: Sk8mafia x Zumiez
Check out Sk8mafia pro Wes Kremer in the latest Zumiez pro rider interview with Transworld Skateboarding. ZUMIEZ: What is the best part about riding for Sk8mafia? WES KREMER: Family. Home is where the heart is. You can't really deny going out and skating with the homies you grew up skating with. I love it man; Mafia. Homies for life. ZUMIEZ: What is the background behind your newest Sk8mafia board graphic? WES KREMER: My board, the stained glassed series is the Japanese Wave. It is a famous Japanese painting that has been around for centuries. My Mom and Dad used to actually have the same painting up in the house. I remember seeing the symbol my whole life, so it was pretty cool to actually have it on a board with me name on it now. ZUMIEZ: Who were your main influences while growing up? WES KREMER: Oh the Hemmys for sure. Bob, as in bobble head, the governor, Marius. Definitely Danny Way, Tony Hawk, Colin Mckay, Channy, Alphozo Rawls, pretty much all the homies that skate the YMCA. ZUMIEZ: What is your current set up looking like? WES KREMER: Like this? Mafia, Royal, OJ, Paradox, and Sii...DC. ZUMIEZ: How do you throw up the Sk8mafia hand sign? WES KREMER: Two fours, ring, index, left middle over right. Pinkies out, thumbs down, no frown. Wes Kremer rides for Sk8mafia, DC, Royal, and OJ.
