Go Skateboarding For Youth Week 2013
National Youth Week 2013 has come to an end but what a week it was for over 20 areas Australia wide. Areas that currently don’t have a Hub got to enjoy a day or 2 full of fun through skateboarding with huge Learn to skateboard events, Demos from our coaches and lots of prizes to give away thanks to World Industries. Check the entertaining clip below to see a montage of highlights throughout the week. A HUGE thank you once again to all the councils involved who helped make this all possible and to everyone who came out to the events! We hope you all had fun. Here's what our State Managers had to say... There is no better way to celebrate the youth of NSW than with some skateboarding and 2013 provided plenty. We saw some amazing sessions passing through the Eurobodalla, greater Hume, upper hunter, Armidale, Tamworth and Moree communities which made it very clear that skateboarding is on the up and no matter where you end up there is amazing young humans shredding every where. No skate shops, no spots, no cameras or mags they just make it happen for the sake of the shred and to me that’s well worth celebrating. Simon Wills - New South Wales Development Manager Go Skateboarding for Youth Week 2013 came out with a bang for Queensland, the superstar line up from 2012 Patty G and Max Schubert were at it again hitting new locations on there tour such as Roma, Logan, Bowen and Airlie Beach. Toowoomba’s Andy Williamson showed the huge PCYC festival a thing or 2 about skateboarding also. These little QLD rippers couldn’t get enough and we can’t wait to come back next time! Jim Dandy - Queensland Development Manager Youth Week came around so fast this year! I can't believe a year has elapsed since I was making arrangements for Brett Royden and Chris Jones to get down to King Island for a two-day workshop last April. Well
