Introducing Øystein Greni. Most well known as the lead singer of Norway’s own BigBang, Greni is also an accomplished skateboarder. As an up and comer in the late 1980s, Greni forged a path through the Norwegian skate scene to eventually pick up a sponsorship from New Deal Skateboards. Unfortunately, Greni’s skateboarding career was cut short by a knee injury in 1991. Shortly after, Greni’s creative urges pushed him into music, forming BigBang in 1992. Through the ups and downs of the music business, BigBang has endured, releasing 11 albums and touring throughout Europe and the U.S. But Greni’s love for skateboarding never left. In 2017, despite his knee injury, he picked up the board again and started skating the Oslo Skatehall. Now, his worlds converge as BigBang plays X Games Norway 2019.
