The Photographers of Issue #150Issue 150 was a notable milestone for us. For over twelve years, we shot some of the most progressive skateboarding and showcased some undeniably engaging personalities; time marched on for skateboarding and we were lucky enough to see the best of the best firsthand. Our goal has always been to focus strictly on skateboarding, presenting it with the greatest attention to detail and the highest quality possible. But looking back at the thousands of photos that have run in The Mag, it's still a little surprising to see how many of these photos qualify as "classic" and possibly even "timeless." Honestly, we're having the times of our lives just documenting all of this rad skateboarding—we didn't expect that our output would have this kind of longevity. How can something so fun and fleeting give us such a deep sense of pride? We recently interviewed our staff photographers (past and present) about their experiences working for the magazine. We laid a pile of 150 issues in front of them, sat back, and just watched them jog down memory lane: extensive recollections of the tricks, trips, and people that made up each issue were just a photograph away, we just needed to press record. Dave, Grant, Atiba, Ako, Blabac, Rodent, Acosta, Bart, Price, Messex, and even Koston, all game to share their stories. It was a rare treat to pick their brains, and their enthusiasm was truly touching. Hopefully it isn't too much of an exaggeration to say that some of the covers and portraits featured in this video have been nestled in the nooks and crannies of your memory as well.
