Last weekend in Seattle, Nike SB launched Cory Kennedy's new shoe, the Zoom All Court CK, with a skate jam at the Bellevue Plaza and a yacht cruise around Seattle. Nike SB had giveaways and free food for everyone, best Trick contests popped off on all parts of the park, and more. Quick history lesson: In 2008, an unknown Cory won a Best Trick contest at this same plaza making his name known and basically becoming the hometown hero that day. On the small rail Best Trick contest, the idea was to see if anyone could do the tricks Cory did on the big rail seven years ago (kickflip backside tailslide bigspin out, switch heelflip backside five-0, and more) and no one could! After the skate jam was over, we headed to a dock on Lake Washington where our yacht was waiting. Over the next three hours, a Hawaiian-themed, hula-heavy rager took to the water and a good time was had by all. Congrats Cory! Thanks Nike SB! Get the shoes now.
