Blending modern technical performance features with classic skate style, the Avex boasts an innovative design in an ultra lightweight, breathable construction. Composed of three main pieces, the Avex offers lightweight comfort and support designed from the ground up. We took cues from our Owen and Hammer Run models and created a new beveled SUPRAFOAM midsole, which absorbs impact without sacrificing traction or board feel. Serrated edging and ridged accents prevent compression wrinkles while a dual density insole—now standard throughout the Crown line—supplies additional padding. The Avex’s upper is comprised of an internal mesh bootie and an asymmetric, hot melt cage. The hot melt process uses heat to fuse reinforcements to the suede and ensures necessary support at high wear areas without adding extra weight. Diamond mesh supplies ventilated padding as a gusseted tongue allows for easy access to the Avex’s comfortable interior. The Avex makes its debut in a white suede and mesh colorway set atop a speckled gum outsole and white SUPRAFOAM midsole.
