Once again Wild in the parks hit the shores of Trondheim like a hurricane! Mayhem and mjod was on the menu for the Norwegian WITP contestants! The park was filled to the brim with stoked kids, parents, media, contestants and spectators. Registration kicked off at 10:00 and we had 75 hyped contestants in all ages. The first heat in the 14- category started at 12:00, it was amazing to see all the youngsters killing the park. Locals Johannes Sundby and Oskar Hjellegjerde were tearing the park apart with huge hardflips and kickflip frontside boardslides. The second 14- heat was also really good with some amazing tricks from the young and very talented riders. After the 14- was finished with their qualifiers they enjoyed some hot dogs and burgers outside the park. While they were chilling we kicked off the 15+ category, here we also had two heats. Both heats were filled with some amazing skaters from all over Norway. Kristiansand, Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger was heavy represented. Kristiansand local Thomas Thorkildsen blasted massive kickflip bs lipslides while Marcus Grongstad were flying over the kickers with huge kickflips to flat. The judges really had their work cut out for them! We stared the 14- category finals after a little warmup. We had some of the best kids in Norway hyped and ready to give it their all for a spot in the WITP Euro finals. Oscar Hjellegjerde took a hard slam and was not able to finish the finals. Johannes Sundby really stepped up and did massive tricks in every zone. All the kids really stepped it up and it was amazing to see the level of skateboarding! It was a really close call with only decimals separating the top 5 contestants. The 15+ finals was a blast!
