Chaz Ortiz is a Illinois native and can't imagine calling anywhere else home. Growing up in Carpentersville, Chaz stills lives in the greater Chicago area but has become a favorite in throughout the world when it comes to what he does best -- skateboarding. As one of the youngest skaters competing in every marquee contest around, Chaz always ranks high and leaves lasting impressions with all his competitors. Since the early age of six, Chaz has been skating regularly and began to enter local contests as early as eight. Growing up skating his local skatepark everyday to hone his skills and learn new tricks, Chaz recalls when his park was destroyed. Fortunately, he was, although young, already established as an elite skateboarder and able to build his own training facility close to home laying the ground for a long progressive career in skating.
