There! We survived it -- first Volcom Wild in the Parks stop in Slovenia happened on Saturday, 6th July 2013 in a fresh re-built skate park that contains a couple new obstacles and with a fresh surface of asphalt too. There was pretty much every skater from Slovenia plus guests from Austria and Serbia also. Eventhough its summer and more and more people decide to go to seaside, our skatepark gathered around 60 competitors. Unfortunately the event started with some rain showers, but it stopped after a few hours, and organizers were ready for everything -- Miha Glavič and a few other local guys were preparing the park days and nights before the event and even rain couldn't stop them - mops, cloths and brooms helped them with drying the floor and ramps with the help of local kids and then action finally started. While everybody was skating and showing their skills, local punk-rock band ZMP played and there was also special photo exhibition by skateboard photographer Urban Cerjak. What else can we say about the action that went down -- everybody ripped -- from kids to seniors. We truly saw some serious moves during the day that soon turned into the evening where everybody moved to teahouse Peč where we had awards and video premiere of brand new Slovenian skateboard video called NeverEndingStory. We all knew how it went down later at the afterparty, so we won't be losing any words about it... fun, fun and again fun! Thanks to everyone involved with the event, judges, MC, Photographer, filmer, and Xsories (www.xsories.com) for the extra prizes. See you all next time! Results: 15- 1. Primož Pintarič 2. Luka Kozovinc 3. Tim Turšič 4. Ambrož Gal 5. Special award went to Maša Jakopič, the only girl who competed at the event OPEN 1. Timotej Lampe Ignjič 2. Dean Gostimirovič 3. Jure Škrjanc 4. Christopher Khan 5. Jan Logar OPEN FINALS: Timotej Lampe Ignjič Christopher Khan Luk
